ITA..Day six?

Woke up, showered, drove here in the snow. A stupid train followed us from East Wash all the way downtown. Stupid train D:<

So today we learned a bit of Action scripting. I've already spent a considerable time trying to learn it on my own. I know the basics:
on (release); {
gotoAndPlay("Layer1,1");
}
Stuff like this...yeah....

We had absolutley no time to work on our BTW OR roadshow project today so yeah..

ITA Flash...day 3?

Today I woke up with a stomach ache...hooray? Another early Saturday, another wait for the bathroom. Mom's in the bathroom for, like 15 minutes with no sound to be heard coming from within. I think to myself, "WT-FUDGE!"

It was snowing, so we departed earlier than normal, maybe like one minute earlier. Dad stops at McDonalds and wastes five minutes behind some old guy in the order-line.

At ITA we went over what we learned last session. Yes...Like every session we always review. The topics we reviewed were motion tweens, object animation, and we also had a small lecture from AJ. It consisted of the basics of motion tweening and OBJECTS. There are two types of Objects, Shapes and Symbols where Shapes are objects that cannot be selected as a whole as easily as the Symbols. Symbols are objects that are imported straight into the library, allowing the users of Flash to use it, abuse it, and motion tween it, like we did today.

My Flash froze just as I was about to save the Flash file into my folder, inside the network drive. So yeah....no files....But a screenshot! But unfortunatly I cannot upload becuase the screenshot is being lame.

Flash Animation Day Two

Another Saturday, another workday at ITA. Woke up to the sound of silence with the bathroom door closed, and locked with the lights on. Thinking once again..."Mom's doing make-up and wasting time in the bathroom again!"

So...Today at ITA we started off with a quiz (like always) that tested our memory of the stuff we learned last time. I forgot what the term 'nesting' was so I just guessed on that. Bryce, sitting next to me, was not here last session so he basically copied me. (haha). Afterward, we began to review motion tween, libraries, symbols and all that other stuff. We were given the entire class time to create a short close-to-five-second animation of a fish in some sort of watery environment. I created a pink whale which was supposed to suck/eat up some green fish-thing, but it was a fail. Apparantly, Adobe Flash CS3 thought half circles were rectangles, and hand-drawn "w's" were squares.

Attatched is a screenshot of my work in Adobe Flash. Wow....All this time and I only got this. Damn.

Flash, Day One

Today we started by sitting down and listening to stuff: Flash introduction. We started off by watching a power point introduction on Adobe Flash 9.0 and learning the interface of its core.

Most of the tools are laid out in the same manner like those of the other Adobe Suites. Many of the tools used in Flash are almost exactly the same as Illustrator and Photoshop.

Today we were asked to take on three challenges using the Flash editor. By placing key frames and frames and using the 'tweener' tool, we manipulated the drawings, enabling movement between frames.

I uploaded a .swf that shows the basic changes in sound and pictures.
Along with this video, I partly decided on what I'm going to do for the BTW. It's going to incorporate a lot of motion because I feel that the more motion it contains, the more entertaining this, a better grade.

Continue [ITa 12/5/09]

Since I did not read the board in the front, I have to write another blog.

Some of the good things about this semester were the interesting times we had in class. I don't remember them though...but I'm sure we had some...

I have no idea what made this semester any harder than any other previous semesters. It seemed all the same to me...#1: Learn the stuff, #2: play and exploit it, #3: do a BTW, and #4: take a road test. It didn't seem hard since I'm used to this process.

I really don't think anything was the best out of this semester because it's all the same (in ITA). But I remember my friends coming down from Sheboygan and we had fun at Buffalo Wild wings...haha...

ITa 12/5/09

Well today it was a cold day...the moment I woke up from my deep slumber I felt a sensation to just crawl right back into my cozy blankets.

Today at ITA, our acting skills were put to the test. Obviously we failed miserably with the help of Adrianne's urge to do the stanky leg. Although it was quite funny, Henry seemed to not enjoy being forced to do it even though he didn't anyways.

We semi-finished the BTW for excel and followed up by taking the Road Test. The test was fairly easy, the only problem was trying to get the charts to print on a separate sheet of paper from the data. I tried outlining the areas I wanted to print by using the "Set Print Area" tool, but since the test required me to change the paper to landscape form, not everything on the data table fit into its own sheet.

Finally...I can eat lunch now..

Additional Authors?

Dear Jeremy,

I thought that since I have the ability to post on your blog, I should just do it!
But I'm here to tell you that I will (right after this post) remove myself from being an author on your blog.

Nice job on your blogs, and hopefully you won't add us to be authors in the future. Instead, you'll add us to read'em only =]

[Feel free to delete this post~]
